We are excited to announce that Clarizen Time Tracker along with many other new features will be made available very soon.

Time Tracker
Starring in this release is Clarizen's Time Tracker allowing users to track/report time via timesheets, allocate the time to specific projects and customers, have managers approve the timesheets, generate related reports and bill accordingly.

Additional views have been added throughout the application, including 'Time Tracking' and 'Customers':

In the Customer view you can track all your customers.

Once customers are entered, you can associate a given project to a certain customer and bill accordingly.

In addition, with the new Job Titles and Rates, you will be able to define regular and overtime cost and billing rates per various job types in your company. When assigning a Job Title to a specific user you define the employee's rates according to the job they fulfill in the company.

Each user's profile can be associated with a Job Title as well as with the Manager that approves their timesheets:

You can also create customer-specific reports:

Special Permissions
In addition to Time Tracking, Clarizen 2.5 includes a range of additional new features such as Special Permissions:

A Super User does not need to be assigned to a given project to see or make changes, rather can view and edit any project in their Clarizen organization.
Financial Permissions requires this check box to be checked in order for the user to be able to see financial data, such as budget info.

ALAP
Until now Clarizen only supported working on projects with a given Start Date where the calculated dates gave you the earliest possible end dates of a project (i.e ASAP). With the new ALAP -'As Late As Possible' feature, you can work your way backwards from a hard set End Date so that you know when is the latest you can start working on a project in order to meet that end date.

When creating a new blank project, you will be prompted to select between ASAP or ALAP.

Shortcuts
A powerful new feature called 'Shortcut' will allow you to take a work item from one project and add it to another project as a Shortcut. This Shortcut will impact the second just as it would the original project including the Duration, Progress, Dates, etc.
