This is a simple comprehension that stands to the reality test time and again, people that know each other, communicate better.

This perception clearly stands the test time and again. People that know each other, that have met face to face, preferably in sociable circumstances, communicate better with each other even when they are geographically apart from one another.

Somehow these people have created a language bond, by using non-verbal communications, and this has added an additional layer to their verbal communications which reduces considerably misunderstandings and frictions.

That is why we (Ignite Outsourcing) have a plan called "exchanging ambassadors". In this plan, Israeli project managers meet with their Eastern European peers once every quarter, to strengthen their communication bonds. Like I said, people that know each other, communicate better.

It's hard to explain this, but drinking a glass of beer in a local pub in Kiev or a Tel Aviv night club can sometimes make all the difference between a successful project with good communications to a project full of misunderstandings and malfunctions.
