Regarding custom views in work items:
I do realize that custom views are a new feature, but would it be possible to have similar options as to when creating custom reports? i.e. multiple filters and sorts? and also for advanced use, support of basic query syntax? or is this already scheduled for a future build?
Reason is that I can create a really good report, but I can't edit the data, and it doesn't give formatting options for the fields (such as importance - whether to use icons or text).

You actually already have multiple filters and sorts in custom reporting. You can have as many as you'd like. Even after running the report you can further sort and filter the data the same way you do in custom views.

Regarding the formatting options, I think that is a great idea. I'll add that to our feature request database.

Lastly, regarding the query syntax, can you provide a few examples? Perhaps a scenario or two describing what you are trying to accomplish.

My error. I want all that functionality in the work items view. I can create the reports I want, but I can't edit the data, i.e. I would like to create the same query that I created in the reports view in the work items view.

As far a query goes, Iike when I was saying that want to view the preceeding milestone, and the reporting doesn't have that functionality, it would be easy to pull it into a report (hopefully also into work items view) via a query - rather than limitations of building a "restricted query" by only using what the GUI offers.
