Social, the buzz word used in every aspect of personal, professional and even political life today. The ability for people to communicate about everything and anything at all times and to a wider and wider audience has turned into the norm with people searching out ways to communicate with each other at every opportunity. It answers a fundamental human desire to communicate and be heard by as many people as possible and drives a different type of informal discussion tying together disparate groups of people.

Hi, I want to start my first Clarizen blog post with a short introduction. My name’s Lior, as you’ve probably noticed, I’ve recently joined Clarizen as CTO after a line of technical and managerial positions in various companies, from 2 person startups to IBM, at 400,000 strong. I’ve seen agile processes and was active on strict ones and was always drawn to how people work – how can some type of order be added to the chaos while not losing innovation, keeping people motivated, and most importantly – increasing revenues. As Clarizen’s CTO I will be dealing with a lot of these issues, as well as working with the development community, introducing new and exciting ways to extend Clarizen even further using your own apps or through 3rd party sites.

I have been using Clarizen 4.5V for a few weeks now and I have to tell you– I’ve really been looking forward to the new features in this version. Like the rest of us, more and more of my daily activities are being conducted online– I keep my documents online with Google Docs, I have my favorites saved on my Delicious account, I use an online calendar, and my email accounts are all cloud-based. It has come to the point where I can’t even imagine not having access something anywhere, anytime. It feels so last century to me.
